Our company was founded by Robert Hewitt. It started out as Hewitt Equipment Limited in February 1952. The company , with the help of Mr. Hewitt, has grown strongly due to our technical expertise and outstanding customer service. In the beginning there were three locations and only forty employees in the Province of Quebec. Hewitt has grown, over time, to branch out into over 30 locations with over 2,000 employees. Hewitt is organised into four divisions: Material Handling, Energy & Engines, Agriculture, and Heavy Equipment. These divisions are divided into several subdivisions to help fully serve segments of specific industries. Today, Hewitt Equipment Limited (parent company of Hewitt Material Handling Inc.) serves the entire Province of Ontario, Canada, including Hamilton, Kitchener, London and Concord.
